The health bar also went through a few iterations, and we also toyed with the idea of a compass to help navigation. Made in Photoshop
First concepts and explorations of an in-game menu with inventory, upgrades, etc. Made in Photoshop
Final menu design, in the end I decided to ditch the "visor" design to simplify, and implemented more of the Teal color from the logo here.
Final HUD Design. Simplified a lot of shapes and changed the position of some of the elements based on player tests - ingame abilities are now front and center, and all gameplay related information is on the bottom part of the screen.
